Sammy Obeid, Américain d'origine libanaise et palestinienne, né à Oakland en Californie, a obtenu une double licence en commerce et en mathématiques à l'UC Berkeley avant de refuser un poste chez Google pour se consacrer à l'humour. Aujourd'hui animateur de l'émission « 100 Humans » sur Netflix, il a également participé aux émissions « Last Comic Standing » et « America's Got Talent » sur NBC, ainsi qu'à « Conan » sur TBS. Il est surtout connu pour avoir établi un record du monde : 1 001 soirs de spectacles d'humour consécutifs, un exploit relaté dans le magazine Time et le New York Times.
