Buddha Bar

8-12 Rue Boissy d'Anglas, Paris

Bar

If we could sum up the lounge atmosphere to one place, then obviously we would mention the Buddha Bar. The mythical 'compilations' by Claude Challe, the ultra-quiet light, the giant Buddha, the dragon-shaped bar, the purple predominance, the celebrities... In short, this place is the symbol of a Parisian night which has evolved a lot since its creation in 1996. Its glory and its hype are undeniably past but we still like to go there for a Sunday morning brunch from time to time or to have a drink when we are passing by on the side of the rue Saint-Honoré. More for the fantasy of an era that we know little about than for the quality of the food or cocktails.
