Once the door of the English green façade is pushed open, Frenchie proves to be a classy and friendly place with its exposed stone walls and retro bar in solid wood. Convivial, a little too much, to the point that it is very complicated to get a table (the place is also quite small). Get there early! Well, once you're settled in, on the other hand, get ready to give your palate a big dose of pleasure. The tapas are simply ex-ce-llent: crispy sweetbread nuggets with its gribiche sauce, a plate of British cheeses (which keeps reminding us of the ultra-friendly UK side of the place - colour of the façade, name, clientele...).... And hey, we almost forgot we were in a wine bar, so why not throw ourselves a few glasses of aligoté from Heitz?
