LIMBO FESTIVAL | 7 - 8 - 9 JULY 2023 "A HUMAN FUTURE" After the extraordinary success of 2022, LIMBO FESTIVAL is ready to get back on track and is pleased to announce further edition dates, from 7th to 9th July 2023, in Barga (Lucca). For the third consecutive year, the event will take place in the beautiful background of “Il Ciocco” Estate & Resort located in the greenest heart of Tuscany, the Garfagnana, where the landscape is authentic and timeless traditions survive. So much lies ahead: LIMBO FESTIVAL is constantly improving to offer a unique and unforgettable experience. Last edition was inspired by the tribe as a metaphor for sharing and diversity as a source of enrichment. The 2023 event will speak about “A Human Future". Among woods, vineyards, pastures and clearings, the exploration of the location is a breathtaking ascent up to 1000 meters. To move easily between the spots where the various scheduled appointments will take place - DJ sets, masterclasses, sports activities - we settled on an internal shuttle service, included in the entry ticket.

Il Ciocco è da sempre luogo di vita. Attraversandolo, non ci sono luoghi dove la sapiente mano dell'uomo non abbia lasciato traccia: i castagneti, piantati per uso di legname e di frutta, i terrazzamenti, con la coltivazione della vite e dell'olivo, i ruderi del metato (piccolo edificio per l'essiccazione delle castagne) e borghi, che raccontano storie di amore per la terra e di migrazione. In alto, a dominare il parco, la vecchia scuola elementare con i camini e il forno a legna, risuona di vita vera e di voglia di crescere. Basta chiudere gli occhi per ritrovarsi in questo vecchio mondo e sentire la maestra che chiama i bambini o la lenta cantilena di una ninna nanna mentre il legno si trasforma in calore per la comunità. Nel corso dei decenni qualcuno ha pazientemente raccolto l'eredità dei secoli passati per mantenerla viva e donarla al futuro. Questo è il Ciocco, che ha sempre vissuto e continuerà a vivere, trasformandosi in nido d'amore per gli abitanti del mondo.
