El Cercle

Restaurant
"We are what we eat and we shall be what we have eaten", said Feuerbach at the time. So you know: watch what you eat, because it will not only affect your present, but also your future. At least, that's what El Cercle believes. That is why they take such great care with their food. Because they take care of their customers. At El Cercle you will find four distinct spaces. The first is La Biblioteca (The Library), a former meeting place ideal for falling in love with the flavors of its renovated Catalan cuisine lost among shelves and good views of Barcelona. Les Quatre Estacions (The Four Seasons) is an imposing room with four sculptures -one in each corner- watching the diners. In this room, you will be surrounded by art and culture wherever you look. If you ask the staff, they will be happy to tell you the stories hidden within those four walls. More than five centuries of adventures that were narrated and remembered there. In La Barra, you can sit back and enjoy (from very close) the live cooking show by Taka, the chef and absolute boss of this well-known Japanese bar. Finally, at El Jardí (The Garden), you will find the most sought-after equation: open air, views of the Golden Mile, cocktails and peace and quiet in the midst of Barcelona's chaos. What shall you eat at El Cercle? Well, a bit of everything. El Cercle is one of those fusion restaurants where Catalan tradition dances with influences, in this case Japanese, to perfection. Imagine combining Fennel (salad, burrata, Kalamata olives, tomato and lemon vinegar) with a rib of acorn-fed pork (with escalope, ratte potato and garlic) and sashimi (tuna, tuna belly, salmon, hamachi and white fish). It is unbeatable... unless you complete it with the spectacular Tahitian vanilla millefeuille (caramelised millefeuille, pastry cream and vanilla ice cream). Simply amazing.
