We have lived deceived for centuries, believing that the borders of Japan, Brazil, Mexico and Peru were untouched. La Picanteria de l'Escribà has come to break this myth. In this cosy place in the 22@ (Barcelona's technological district in Poblenou), the gastronomic cultures of these four great countries meet. The history of the picanterías was born in Arequipa (Peru). Those small restaurants of popular cuisine designed to promote social life among their diners began to gain fame in Latin America, first, and in the rest of the world, later. La Picanteria de l'Escribà is faithful to that heritage, offering an uninterrupted kitchen and bar service, as well as a signature cocktail bar with quality liqueurs and 100% natural products, thus making La Picanteria the best place to let yourself be hypnotised by the pairing of dishes. Baos with a daring taste, nachos with cochinita pibil... and, if you like ceviches, it's time to discover the most fragrant and original ones in Barcelona. On Sundays there are tasting sessions!
