From worldwide success in the commercial arena to the same achievements in the underground scene, Dubfire is an artist whose drive, talent and intuition have placed him in the highest echelon of electronic music artists in the world. He maintains this position within the industry with a relentless work ethic and a focused determination to innovate, evolve and entertain. Whether it's his involvement with Deep Dish, his solo performances at an extensive roster of the world's most influential clubs and festivals, his management of his label SCI+TEC or simply his exploration of audio and visual technology, Dubfire is in a class of his own and is steadfast in his forward-thinking spirit. Born in Iran and raised in the United States from the age of seven, Dubfire began developing his skills playing in local Washington D.C. clubs. A childhood friend introduced him to Sharam Tayebi and they formed “Deep Dish:”, a producer/DJ duo that took the electronic music world by storm, earning a Grammy (and other nominations) in the process, in addition to a wide range of other awards and accolades. At the height of their success, both opted to take a step back and pursue solo careers, with the Dubfire alias allowing him to express his deep love of underground house and techno. Dubfire quickly integrated himself into the minimal techno scene and produced several key releases that cemented him as a true visionary and an important figure in the music industry.
