Hector Barbour is known by many names, but mainly for his work as Denis Sulta. As a producer and DJ, Sulta is at the forefront of a new generation of musicians and creators in Glasgow. His distinctive house sound is clearly designed for the dance floor, but hides many more details and nuances than might be apparent at first glance. The classic percussion of the genre is always present, but it is often offset by a particular melodic warmth, with each song bringing out the emotional factor of electronic music. His progressive suites have appeared on leading labels such as Numbers, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, and Mister Saturday Night. Under his other aliases, Atlus and Conrad Hart, he produces eclectic and equally melodic rhythms that skillfully move between different electronic genres. No matter what name he goes by, Barbour's commitment to dance and quality is constant and unwavering.
