About

FRIDAY | MAY 2017 @ RAZZMATAZZ CLUBS | Opening doors 01:00am 1 Ticket 4 clubs >>> RAZZCLUB, THE LOFT, LOLITA, POP BAR. THE LOFT: DO NOT SLEEP: DARIUS SYROSSIAN + JOSH BUTLER + LUCA DONZELLI 'It's all House and Techno & and I'm not interested fads' these words by Darius Syrossian not only define the style and sound of Darius but also represent the principles by which he has successfully made his name as a DJ, Producer, Label boss and Radio host at a global level. This year Darius Syrossian is again joined the DO NOT SLEEP party at Space Ibiza where he holds a weekly residency, he will be also delivering a compilation for the esteemed Balance series, and later in the year, there is an Essential Mix for Radio 1, while continuing his international touring schedule. But as a true workaholic, Darius Syrossian has been living and breathing, playing and producing house music for all of his adult life. Having served 14 years in a record shop, he has the grassroots knowledge and understanding that has helped him rise to the very top of the global pile. Having played gigs at every major club and festival in every continent, he has also produced & released music on a whole host of the biggest record labels out there, with his most recent work in 2016 appearing on taste-making labels such as Mobilee sister label Leena, Material, Swiss label Definition:Music as well as releasing the huge track Funkflex on the vinyl only label Rimming Records as an unnamed artist, and lets not forget his productions on his own Do Not Sleep label that is releasing music on both Vinyl & Digital. Passionate and refreshingly outspoken Darius makes and plays music that is just as a standout. a DJ Mag Best of British award winner who has helped establish Ibiza parties with influential residences for Viva Warriors and Tribal Sessions, but last year saw Darius Syrossian join Do Not Sleep as a weekly resident in Ibiza. DO NOT SLEEP is now also a record label & a worldwide monthly radio show, For Darius, The Radio show, the Space Residency, touring the world DJ'ing, alongside his producing & remixing, all of it embraces the philosophy of Darius to always focus on the music and to always guard the principles of house and techno, and always, to remain true. In his own words: "I'm into the scene because I LOVE THE MUSIC, not like a lot of people who are into the music because they LOVE THE SCENE. It's only about the music for me, and that's all that matters!?" RAZZCLUB: FUEGO: BAILE TRAP EUROPE TOUR: TROPKILLAZ & MC BIN LADEN + WILL BLAKE + DJ2D2 Tropkillaz is a duo formed by Brazilian producers, from the old school (DJ Zegon) and new school (Laudz). A former member of the group N.A.S.A, he toured the world with their debut album “The Spirit of Apollo” and performed in festivals such as Coachella. Laudz is a new cat in the game, however even with only 5 years in the business, he’s worked with the likes of like Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, as well as Brazil’s top hip hop MCs. The two have also scored movies, commercials and tracks for video games. Together, the two have created an intense collection of club bangers, that blends Trap and Bass music with Electro, Hip Hop, and Latin Samples in a unique style. They first got worldwide attention with their underground hit “Mambo”, a sure shot in any dance-floor, and their recent collab ”Assets” with Yellow Claw (released by Mad Decent) propelled them even further, placing Tropkillaz’s footprint in the Trap Movement. Being recently featured on Run The Trap’s Top 10 Trap Duos (tastemaker blog in the scene – run by Complex Music), having their remix of N.A.S.A’s “Hide” on the Top 10 iTunes Electronic Charts (US & UK), official remixes for Major Lazer, and with recent support from superstar DJs like Diplo, Flosstradamus, DJ Snake, Steve Aoki, to name a few, Tropkillaz have proved to be heavy-weight contenders. Club
You cannot fully understand the musical culture and nightlife of Barcelona without mentioning Razzmatazz. It is one of the most renowned venues within the national and international scene. Founded in 2000, it was the first Spanish dance hall to open every single day of the week with its five different rooms, all under one roof. It is a building that is, in itself, an emblem of the city; a relic of Barcelona’s industrial landscape from the 90s, which combines perfectly with the underground feel to the club. The main room, the Razzclub, forms the backbone around which its younger sisters function: Lolita, PopBar, Rexroom and The Loft, the favorite of electronic lovers. All records, styles and disciplines have a place within the four walls of Razzmatazz @ Number 122, Calle Almogavers. RazzClub is known for being a benchmark of the European indie scene. The best indie-pop, new wave, nu-rave, electro-rock and the best live acts from artists like Arctic Monkeys, Foals, The 1975, Two Door Cinema Club, Yelle, David Byrne, Coldplay, Orbital, Pulp, The Strokes , Kanye West, Blur, Belle and Sebastian. - Lolita plays music styles such as House, Future Beats, Electropop, nu-disco, old school electro, Italo, hip hop, trap, dubstep that have come out of the hands of artists such as Justice, Airplane, Juan Maclean, The Magician, Tensnake, Space Dimension Controler, Cyril Hahn and Eton Messy among others. - In PopBar you can find an incredible mix of the best Pop: Northern soul, technopop, electro-rock, twee-pop, 80's, classic Indie, RnB and the most hyped songs of the moment, thanks to great guest Djs and first class residents. - Rexroom works as a kind of experimentation centre where different styles converge: house, italo-disco, acid, gay house and old-school electro. - Finally, The Loft, a favourite amongst followers of the best international electronic; a spacious room where you can find the most avant-garde sounds of Barcelona. Paul Kalkbrenner, Jeff Mills, Kevin Saunderson, Len Faki, Boys Noize, Ben Sims, Dave Clark, Floating Points, and The Black Madonna guarantee their well-deserved reputation. The dress code is very casual. The wide variety of music tastes, cultures and styles played every night in Razzmatazz attract a very large and very diverse audience. No labels, no prejudice, total freedom and your clothes can say anything you want them to. Despite the club’s immense capacity, the “sold out” sign has been hung outside Razzmatazz on numerous occasions. To ensure entry you can buy your tickets in advance with Xceed. Razzmatazz never sleeps - it’s true! The nightclub opens 3 of its rooms every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of every month. Sundays are for INSERT, an afternoon session for lovers of the most pure techno. During the remaining days of the week, the room is open to host a variety of concerts and live performances that usually last from 8pm until 11pm. The ticket price varies depending on the party, but in average the price for a normal night is around 15€.
