Based in Chicago, he has more than 20 years of experience as a DJ and more than ten in production, during which time he’s released records at an astounding clip, assembled innumerable mixtapes and edits and established himself as an authority on genres as disparate as footwork, disco and ghetto house. Alumni of the legendary Smartbar Chicago, CRHISSY has been producing/releasing records for the past decade, his roots lie in ghetto tech, juke and footwork. In the music blogging heydays, he was releasing a mixtape a month, each dedicated to a different genre, going from proto house and latin disco to new swing jack and more. Today, he’s the guy behind some of the best disco edits around and the two house labels The Nite Owl Diner and Cool Ranch.
