Okay, this is gonna sound a little bit crippy, but we just don't want to send you to El Santet without you knowing what the story is about. In the Poblenou Cemetery (one of the most beautiful in the city, by the way), specifically in niche 138 on island 4, you will find the tomb of Francesc Canals i Ambrós, a young man who died at the age of 22 in 1899 and who was known for predicting the future and carrying out many charitable works. He was known as El Santet and even today the residents of the neighbourhood venerate his grave (if you visit his niche, you will notice how many flowers they still leave him). Well, El Santet is a terrace that gives its name to the deceased and that, in fact, is located in front of the cemetery. David, its owner, envies the blind trust of the Basques in their neighbourhood bars and tries to achieve the same in his beloved Barcelona. Cuttlefish with potatoes, fish suquet... David puts all his efforts into the kitchen and the regulars at El Santet don't speak badly of his talents. We could say we die for his food... ;)
