About

From 2019 onwards, Tristan Urwin built his name within a closely tied group of artists and shows, in Johannesburg South Africa, that focussed on the growing afro electronic scene. The teamwork within this realm has seen a serious number of productions and collaborations, particularly with fellow artist Son of Dennis and future projects on the horizon with artists such as Caiiro and Enoo Napa and homegrown entertainment brands such as Wandering Tribe, Crescendo, Bye Bye Bye and Awe Films. The difficult scenarios of the last few years have seen Tristan Urwin focussing more and more on differentiating his performance structure and shifting away from cultural norms which have been well received by audiences in his hometown – although Tristan Urwin does not have any publicly available personal production there is a structured release schedule set for Q1 2024. But for now, when it comes to DJing, he is going for a less is more direction over the next few months with a focus on choosing bookings and playing more consciously that align with his vision and desire for afro electronic growth and education.
