Oliver Baptiste

OLIVER BAPTISTE is an international Dj/Producer, Model and Actor, born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He is proudly of Jamaican heritage and keeps his roots close to his heart. Oliver started modelling in Toronto and soon after began traveling internationally to markets like New York, London England and South Africa which kickstarted his international Dj career. Prior to his modeling career, Oliver always had a fixation with music of all kinds: from reggae, jazz, house and funk. At the age of 15 he played on his first set of turntables and fell in love. It was however the interesting combination of his international exposure as a model and his love of music, that quickly turned into a long awaited plan to becoming a real international DJ. Oliver’s natural ability to mix tech house and dance music at high points makes him a man who makes the people move from start to finish. He is humble yet masterful in the way he plays and pays great homage to some of his inspirations: Lil Louie Vega, Todd Terry, Kenny Dope and Tony Humphries respectively. You will often see him getting lost in his beats, performing for the crowd in a very bespoke look as he always incorporates fashion into his look on any stage. Oliver Baptiste has recently teamed up with a South African Dj by the name of Wulfsohn. Together they are known as OLLIE & THE WULF and they’ve hit the ground running in the Melodic Techno scene. The duo have a few of their tracks signed to such labels as: Katermukke (Germany), Konflict(Uk) and Smaak Music(S.A). Definitely watch out for this act as they’re quickly building momentum on the Beatport charts. Oliver is one of the Canadian music Ambassadors for the house music world and is incomparably the next big thing on the Dj Scene.
