Marisol is a pioneering figure in the Canary Islands’ underground electronic music scene, having established herself fully across the archipelago. A professional musician since 2006, with studies at the Conservatory of Las Palmas and other private music schools, her story began on stage as a dancer at just 4 years old always driven by a fascination for electronic music and an innate sense of rhythm. After an extensive musical career, she started DJing in 2015, learning on vinyl, and later graduated in Music Production from Bass Valley (Barcelona), while continuing to study under renowned producers. Marisol’s versatility shines especially in her marathon sets, where she crafts a narrative that guides the crowd through intricate layers of sound. Her style draws inspiration from Berlin’s raw techno scene and the psychedelic textures of Goa Trance, always reflecting the warmth and energy of her island roots. In 2018, she started her own event series, PULSAR – the Swiss, German, and Canarian project that quickly became the benchmark for underground techno and rave culture in Gran Canaria. Pulsar is known for delivering high-quality events, showcasing international artists from iconic venues like Berghain, Tresor, or RSO (among others) alongside impeccable sound engineering powered by Funktion One and immersive visual art. From this foundation, Asymetric was born – Pulsar’s sub-brand designed to redefine the techno clubbing experience in Las Palmas. More than just a brand, Asymetric is a platform dedicated to elevating and protecting the presence of women in electronic music, while actively connecting Gran Canaria’s scene with Europe’s main cultural hubs and supporting the island’s most promising talents. Currently a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria, Marisol continues to evolve her sound, constantly experimenting and refining her artistic voice. She is now preparing her first live act, set to debut in autumn 2025, a project that promises to distill decades of musical exploration into a raw, powerful, and deeply personal performance. contact@asymetric.es
