Júlia Collado Riu, previously known artistically as Iris Deco, began her artistic career within the Hidden Track Records label and debuted in 2021 with the acclaimed album Golden, a work co-produced with Ferran Palau , Jordi Matas , and B1N0 that highlighted her versatile talent and consolidated her as a promising voice within the Catalan musical and cultural scene. In addition to her own creations, she has collaborated with artists such as Clara Peya and Habla de Mí en Presente, and shared the stage with renowned figures such as Arlo Parks in Madrid and Barcelona. On an international scale, her music also resonated at the People & Culture Festival in Berlin. At the beginning of 2024, with the release of her EP and short film Mai s’ha trencat del tot, she took the decisive step to say goodbye to Iris Deco and adopt her real name, Júlia Collado Riu, the result of a great need to connect with her purest essence. Her last album, Z nombre complex, is an experimental pop work that was born from the artist's personal challenge to leave her comfort zone and push the limits of her knowledge. A journey between darkness, light, textures, and dynamics that, combining Catalan and English, marks a before and after in her musical path, allowing her to be recognized more genuinely than ever in this new style, and within her new melodies and lyrics.
