Tim Cook Began his DJ career in 1994. He has performed in every major US Market as well as on three continents DJ T.E.C. has been a musical pioneer in the electronic music scene for nearly as long as the music style has existed. From playing English pop cross over hits like “Move any Mountain” by the Shamen, and Sunscream’s early releases, to being the first to break Mark Farina’s Mushroom Jazz & LTJ Bukem’s “Logical Progression” DJ T.E.C. has been there since the beginning and this rich experience shows in his smooth mixing, track selection, ability to work with the crowd, create new and exciting levels of emotion and nostalgia within a set. He was one of the first artists to visualize and perform cross over mixes mashing up hip hop classics, with techno and 4 4 beats. His early mixes of Eminem and Robert Miles came years before the rise of David Guetta and what is now current EDM. The Early years, 1995-1999 were defined by the radio disk jockey experience, and clubbing. T.E.C. First came on the air in a mostly EMO rock, and grunge era, but was drawn to the melodic and rhythmic synthesized sounds of hip-hop, trip-hop, jungle, synth pop, industrial, and heavy metal. Europe and touring during the years 1999-2005 found DJ T.E.C. performing in multiple continents and every major media market in the United States. T.E.C. was performing 8-12 hour live sets during a corporate sponsored tour where he was playing block parties, and major festivals of the time. This tour went to Daytona, Denver, Los Angles, San Diego, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, San Antonio, Milwaukee, Chicago, and many other Stops. During this time T.E.C. was sponsored by Nervous Records, and Atlantic Records. In the year 2002 T.E.C. started his own event production company, called Siemprefoundation, which was responsible for throwing some of the largest underground parties in Baltimore at that time. T.E.C. guested and headlined hundreds of events with capacities of thousands of people. He played with many many well know artists, such as Donald Glaude, Richard Humptyvision, Uberzone, Ak 1200, Dara, Aphrodite, Diesel Boy, Hatiras, George Acosta, and others too many to name. During this time, T.E.C. guested or had residencies at all of the most sought after clubs in Baltimore and Washington D.C. Additionally during this time, T.E.C. had a winter residency in Switzerland, had played in Amsterdam, Italy, Venezuela, Miami, and more. In 2005 T.E.C. held a summer residency in Ibiza at Café Paradis, as well as Café Tantra, and also performed on Ibiza radio Flaix FM It was while living in Ibiza, that T.E.C. recorded his first major release, a remake of the Beastie Boys “Fight for your Right to Party” which was played by Tomy Novy on the terrace at Space. This was one of the first major releases to combine hip-hop and techno, which would soon thereafter become a sought after sound in the house music and pop music worlds. After a successful stint in Ibiza, T.E.C. returned home to Baltimore to begin his era of working the pop scene in Baltimore and D.C. again, guesting and having residencies at all of the main clubs in the market during that time. He teamed up with Jetsetmafia.com to produce many mega parties, was a hip-hop resident, at multiple clubs during regular hours, and techno house resident at the infamous 1722 after hours. As house and techno became more and more main stream T.E.C. found himself spinning his mix of techno and hip-hop at commercial venues, mainstream bars, and was creating the soundtrack of the pop scene. With multiple trips to Miami winter music conference, Ultra and Space parties, T.E.C. continued his deep research of the scene and further honed his sound. After nearly a decade and a half of constant performance, in 2010, DJ T.E.C. went on hiatus to pursue personal life goals.
