The new green space of Valencia, the Central Park, is an area located between Ruzafa and Malilla with more than 100,000 square meters of land. A perfect space to go with children or pets and go for a walk among abundant vegetation, recreation areas and fountains. Do you want to escape from the bustle in the center? This is your place! The project, which is based on the undergrounding of the train tracks, was designed by the American landscape designer Kathryn Gustafson. It forms a large structure of walkways and water paths, which connect different spaces. In addition, it maintains the old protected railway buildings, which give the park the charm of the old railroad stations. Ausiàs March's poem 'Aigua plena de seny' inspired the design of the park, where light, water and greenery, with a thousand trees, 85,000 shrubs and 13,000 planters are the protagonists. If you visit the Central Park you will discover one of the most complete spaces in the city: children's areas with climbing wall, slides or water games; area for dogs (delimited by metal fencing, dog games, pipican or litter garbage cans, among other services); and areas for rest or for strolling. The main entrance is on Filipinas Street, in the Plaza de las Artes, and has eight entrances in total, two on Peris y Valero Street, one on Doctor Domagk Street and five on Filipinas Street. Come and enjoy the Central Park!
