LANGUAGE / LANGUE 🇫🇷 The event will primarily take place in French. 🇬🇧 English subtitles will be provided throughout the show. English speakers are absolutely welcome, but please note before purchasing your ticket that **French will be the main spoken language on stage and during the audience discussions**. We’ll make the experience as accessible as possible in English through subtitles and occasional English where appropriate. --- # THE TAKE BRUSSELS — VOL. 02 Defend your worst opinion. Unpopular opinions, defended on stage. The room votes before. The room votes after. 50 seats, inside the cinema on the 2nd floor of Ratz Food Market. Everyone has one. That opinion you keep to yourself the one that gets eyes rolled at the dinner table, the one you'll only admit to close friends, half-joking. On 27 November, come defend yours on stage. Each take gets around 20 minutes in the spotlight : ≈10 minutes to Defend your take Slides, stories, arguments, questionable evidence whatever it takes to make your case. ≈10 minutes — Questions & pushback The audience gets the mic. Questions, objections, reactions and debate. And the room votes twice. Vote #1 — Before the defence Where does the room stand before hearing your argument? Vote #2 — After the debate Did you actually manage to change anyone's mind? Some people will switch sides. Others will dig in which is exactly what you came for. It's not a conference and it's not stand-up. It's 50 people in a cinema arguing, laughing, challenging each other, then heading to the bar to keep it going. Come defend yours: send us two takes and we'll select one. Or just come watch people try. HOW THE NIGHT GOES 19:00 — Doors Grab your welcome cocktail downstairs and head up to the cinema on the 2nd floor. Your voting paddle will be waiting on your seat. 20:00 — Show starts, sharp We explain the rules, run a warm-up vote and get the room ready.
