ROBOT Learn LAWRENCE ENGLISH — THE RADICAL LISTENER Field recording and listening masterclass 09/10/2026 | Ostello Bello Bologna For the first time in Italy, ROBOT Festival hosts a masterclass by Lawrence English—an Australian artist, a leading figure in field recording, and the founder of Room40. Drawing on twenty years of field recordings—spanning from Antarctica to the Amazon, and from the Australian outback to Japan—he presents a method that intertwines technique, theory, and aesthetic inquiry. The session begins with an hour of conversation, followed by a listening walk in the surrounding area: walking together, listening, recording, and reflecting. Previously presented at Unsound, Fulcrum Arts' AxS, gnration, and Harvard. Open to all skill levels. Info 09/10/2026, 15:00 — 3 hours — Ostello Bello Bologna Very limited capacity.
