KNOCKOUT presents: STATE OFFF KNOCKOUT is a new event series dedicated to Gqom, the raw, hypnotic sound that emerged from Durban’s townships in the early 2010s. Built on heavy bass, fractured rhythms, and minimalist intensity, Gqom reshaped the global dance landscape with its dark energy and percussive power. It’s music that moves both body and spirit stripped-down, unrelenting, and deeply physical. For our launch edition, we’re proud to welcome State OFFF, Zimbabwe-born and Amsterdam-based, who’s redefining Gqom’s future. Named one of Mixmag’s “Top 25 Artists to Watch in 2025,” State OFFF has been igniting dance floors worldwide with his bold productions and high-voltage sets. His debut EP GQOM TODAY (2022) announced a new direction for the genre, while Simulacra and The Offering (2024) fused Gqom, Baile Funk, and global club sounds into something entirely his own.
