APERTURA DE PUERTAS: 00:30h // DOORS OPEN AT: 00:30h ▪️Nista Dengue Dengue Dengue! are an audio-visual duo from Lima, Peru. Behind the artfully crafted handmade masks they always wear in photos and onstage are producers, DJs, and graphic designers Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira. They explore and utilize rhythms from Latin, African, and Anglo worlds, re-creating them in electronic form by mixing old and new, analog and digital, resulting in a unique, instantly identifiable sound accented by their striking handcrafted visuals. Their musical explorations range from psychedelic cumbia to dub, from salsa to footwork, from tribal to techno; their sound and visual palette continue to evolve in concert and on recordings, adding more color, flavor, and texture to their heady and provocative mix. DDD were born in mid-2010 and immediately made themselves well known in Lima thanks to their impeccable audio-visual show, remixing and mashing up their own tracks with old cumbias and modifying cumbia classics into electronic versions, always accompanied by their singular visuals and always present masks. In early 2011 the duo began to issue their first original productions to the Internet via music and culture blogs in Latin America, Europe, and the U.S. Almost instantly acclaimed, their recordings started being played in clubs across the globe. They were invited to perform live at festivals in Peru and, along with Peru's Auxiliar label, started producing the TOMA! Sessions, helping to consolidate the growing and vibrant tropical bass movement in Lima, inviting various transcultural musicians and DJs to disseminate sounds and ideas. In 2012 they released their debut album, La Alianza Profana (The Unholy Alliance), and the video for the single "Simiolo" through Auxiliar. The album charted almost immediately at home, and shows throughout the country were instant sellouts. The album caught the attention of Berlin's Chusma label, which re-released the album the following year in Europe, Asia, and Australia. Later that year they played the NOVA Art Festival in São Paulo, Brazil and the III Ibero-American Design Biennial in Madrid, Spain. Also that year, DDD played a very successful Mexican tour, and in June undertook a two-month European tour, playing major festivals and clubs in Berlin, Vienna, Prague, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, and Stockholm. That July, Chusma released the Simiolo Remixes EP, and Enchufada Records issued the track "Lokumba" in their Upper Cuts series of releases. That single prompted the band to sign to Enchufada in 2014, and release the EP Serpiente Dorada to mark the occasion. They lectured at the Red Bull Music Academy in Tokyo and released the track "Pineal" for the Academy's now world-renowned project 20 Before 15. They also revealed additional talents in remixing tracks by Tremor, Symbiz Sound, El Remolón, and King Doudou. They embarked on three European tours (46 shows), playing sold-out gigs at the Dour, Roskilde, and Paleo festivals as well as a noteworthy set at the SONAR Festival in Barcelona. They also played Cuba, Japan, Argentina, Chile, China, Brazil, Jamaica, Panama, Costa Rica, and Colombia that year. In 2014 they were commissioned by the legendary Fania label to remix tracks for a special 50-year anniversary compilation. The following year, DDD also released a new track for a Greenpeace/Rhythm and Roots label project, a compilation of tracks inspired by birdsong. It was also a year of intense touring: Latin America from January to March, Europe in June, the U.S. in August and October, and a second European tour in December. Siete Raíces (Seven Roots), DDD's sophomore album, was released by Enchufada Records in June of 2016, accompanied by a self-titled video directed by Mikael Stornfelt -- who also directed the "Simiolo" and "Chichón" videos. DDD supported its release with a 60-plus-date tour of Europe. Universally acclaimed by the press, the album was mined for everything from samples and remixes by producers to standard dancefloor fare in clubs all over the world by DJs. In February of 2018, the duo issued Son de los Diablos, the first of three EPs projected for that year. ~ Thom Jurek, Rovi ▪️Astin: Armand Jakobsson is the artist known as DJ Seinfeld, Rimbaudian and Birds of Sweden. Under these aliases you find sweeping emotive cuts, verdant dancefloor workouts and discerning dips into jungle and breaks. Releases have come on respected labels including Meda Fury, Ectotherm, UN.T.O and Lobster Fury: the collaborative label from Lobster Theremin and Meda Fury. DJ Seinfeld’s beats are ultimately guided by an idea of authenticity, true to the spirit of the early house pioneers and the unabashed rawness the confines of their equipment demanded. A lot’s been made of this lo-fi fuzz, with many clamoring to declare it a scene, but he won’t be put into a box. His path is his own. A microphone picks up the tension and release of a singer: charged with emotion, the machine can’t handle it. The rough edges of his productions emit the same sensibility. Armand began making music in Edinburgh at the suggestion of a respected friend. Time spent experimenting with sounds and exploring the possibilities contained within his laptop was cathartic relief from the grind of finishing his studies. Returning to his hometown of Malmo, his interest in making music would intensify thanks to encouragement from his old school friends and the looming spectre of a 9-5 lifestyle. A move to Barcelona and the end of a relationship resulted in extended sessions watching the classic American sitcom and the music made to reflect that appeared under the name DJ Seinfeld.

Großer Veranstaltungsort
Not many venues in Barcelona (neither in the rest of Europe) can say they have been making their people dance for more than 75 years. Sala Apolo (and its second space, known as La [2] de Apolo) is one of the most important multidisciplinary spaces in Barcelona. It hosts performances throughout the week, from concerts of all kinds of music genres to night club sessions every night of the week, as well as radio and TV programmes, premieres and other social events related to Barcelona's musical and creative scenes. As we said, the concerts in Sala Apolo and La [2] de Apolo are of all kinds. However, genres with electronic touches such as electropop, synth-pop and indie-dance are the most common ones. As for the club sessions, Apolo offers a great variety of styles. Each party has its own musical line. On Mondays, Nasty Mondays offers hits, indie-rock and pop. When Crappy Tuesdays opens on Tuesdays, it focuses on the purest indie sound, while Caníbal, on Wednesdays, focuses on the urban sounds such as trap, dancehall, afrobeat and even reggaeton. Cupcake retrieves the pop and commercial sound aiming at university audiences and, during weekends, Nitsa Club brings to Barcelona the best underground electronic producers and DJs of the international scene. Apolo's audience depends a lot on the day and the party. From Monday to Thursday, university students and young people between 18 and 24 are the majority. On Friday and Saturday nights, during the Nitsa Club sessions, electronic music lovers take over both spaces, slightly increasing the average age. Apolo is not rigid with the dress code. The club allows its users to dress as they please. There are no labels or conventions here. Come comfortable and ready to dance until dawn. On the best line-up days, whether it's concert or club nights, Apolo's queues can go on forever, especially if you haven't bought pre-sale tickets. After waiting perhaps for more than 1 hour, you'll end up paying between €10 and €20 at the entrance. On the other hand, if you buy your pre-sale ticket on Xceed, usually for a slightly lower price, you'll get in through a much faster queue. Moreover, the ticket always includes 1 drink! And, you know, Apolo's schedule is the usual one as any club in Barcelona. It opens at 12:30 am and closes at 5 am on weekdays and at 6 am during weekends. Concerts usually take place on weekdays during afterwork hours, around 9 pm. Without a doubt, this is one of the most active venues in Barcelona.
