He plans houses full-time, at heart he is an architect of sounds. Driven and inspired by music of all kinds, it is his faithful companion. A constant with changes of direction, but lasting importance. Since he was 15, Ben has put passion and musicality into productions and his own projects. Back then at the basement with rough guitar riffs, he played and sang in various bands, lived punk and metal performed as a singer or bassist, screamed his lungs out, listened to hip hop beats at the same time and wrote his own notes and lines. A musical chameleon with a preference for the minor key. Ben loves and quotes a singer-songwriter just as electronic arrangements, which are in focus for him today as a DJ and producer. In his melodically composed sound, Ben's diversity plays a prominent role. “Due to my broad spectrum, I fall back on different elements of individual genres. The focus is on dark, melancholic sounds, mixed with brute bass lines, supported by driving rhythms”. Still at home in Aschaffenburg, a cousin already played tracks as DJ in clubs, leading Ben from the analogue to the digital playground. Ben changed his hairstyle and from the stage to the DJ booth. Apart from stage diving he now plays deep DJ sets and produces his own unique sound. Starting at the Club Dornheim, where he performed as a resident DJ, he set up his own events in cooperation with his former collective (Hucklelarry, Phil & Ben Sawyer). A turn of tides on his new course, as he entered a completely different scene here and at the same time discovered an unobtrusive, relaxed atmosphere that moves him in the long term. Here he played alongside acts such as Mimi Love, Tereza, Guzy, Yuven, Foolik, Ströme, Sokool … “I love this club - it's full of passion and attention to detail. There you will find yourself as part of an uniquely magical atmosphere. Everyone should spent at least one night here.” The musician soon headed to other places with various side projects, was hired for locations such as Mensch Maier in Berlin or Tante Pinte in Sissach and played at open airs alongside Felix Kröcher and Karotte. For professional reasons, Ben finally set sail and moved to Hamburg in 2018, where he worked for the record label Katz & Kauz and was an important part of the combo Cosmokat. Not insignificantly, the influences of Ben determine the color of Hamburg's underground techno sound, which is evident at performances in established clubs and captivates the dancing crowd.
