Just 20 minutes from the center of Rome, perched on one of the last hills of the Tiburtini Mountains, stands the complex of Tenuta Tor de' Sordi. Built on the remains of an ancient Roman villa, the complex still preserves the pristine charm of that era. Through a suggestive arched gateway, you enter what is a perfectly preserved small medieval village. The characteristic polygonal layout is delimited by a defensive wall enclosing a large inner courtyard where the greenery of the lawn, the shade of ancient trees, and the romantic arcades create a unique and timeless setting. The courtyard is dominated by a square tower from the 13th century around which, in the 15th century, the large villa was built, which for more than 200 years housed the Dominican Fathers' convent.
