An electronic artist who defies generic boundaries, Steve Lawler began his career organising the infamous motorway raves back in the early 90s. As a producer, his releases have been signed by the world’s leading record labels: R&S, Drumcode, Cocoon, Hot Creations, 8bit, Moon Harbour, Knee Deep, Play it, Say it and his very own VIVa MUSiC. VIVa MUSiC has been breaking new talent for over 12 years with releases from Jamie Jones, Davide Squillace, Ilario Alicante, Waze & Odyssey, Doorly, Christoph and of course Lawler himself. Steve also began his monthly radio show, NightLife Radio, where he champions the latest and best underground artists he’s discovered. Steve held a residency for 9 years at Space, Ibiza, earning himself the title ‘King of Space’. He had similar success stories with residencies at The End, Cream, Home and more. VIVa Warriors is most well-known for being the flagship night of Sankeys Ibiza from 2012-2016. The party pulled in huge names like Eats Everything, Skream, Derrick Carter, Groove Armada, Pete Tong and Hot Since 82. Steve is also a regular in Ibiza for the likes of Ants/Paradise/Elrow, not to mention he plays at some of the World’s biggest festivals; Lovebox, Ultra, Resistance, Mandarine Park, Eastern Electrics, Creamfields, Parklife, Hideout & more. Steve’s incredible career became the subject of a dance music documentary, ‘The Art Of The DJ’, describing Steve's ascent through dance music’s formative stages, before reaching his current status.
