Marco Vito Quarry Park is a 7-hectare urban green space located south of the city of Lecce, just behind the railway station. The park was redeveloped based on a project by architect Álvaro Siza. Originally a historic quarry for the extraction of Lecce stone, the area was later transformed into gardens and cultivated plots. It officially opened to the public on Sunday, November 19, 2023, and now hosts an urban forest managed by WWF Salento. The park is open every day of the week, from Monday to Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM. It is located at Via dei Ferrari, 16–40, and is distinguished by its striking rock walls, which naturally define the perimeter of the site.
