hite-washed Es Paradis will start its 2020 Ibiza campaign early, holding its opening party on Saturday 2 May. Anybody visiting San Antonio on the first weekend in May will be pleased with this news as we begin the season with a spring in our step. Es Paradis opening always attracts a cool mixture of curious clubbers and industry personnel alike, keen to swing back into action. What better environment than the pristine interior of Es Paradis? This announcement is especially significant since it is the first club on the west side of the island to open its doors. Unlike a lot of the club's programming, it's often a safe bet to catch some of the island's most time-honoured DJs. Former years have seen headline sets from talent such as Alfredo, Brandon Block and Graham Sahara. We don't currently know who will be playing this year, but with early-bird tickets available at €20 this is a great party to mark the start of another incredible summer. Es Paradis first opened in August 1975 by Pepe Aguirre and artist Lluis Guell, who also created Café Del Mar. Like many of the top venues in Ibiza, Es Paradis was famous for its utdoor facilities. The island regulations of 1990 saw the club enclosed and the iconic pyramid roof was born. Visible throughout San Antonio, the extravagant 120 ton roof hints of a magical experience within, which is exactly what Es Paradis delivers. Visible throughout San Antonio, the extravagant 120 ton roof hints of a magical experience within, which is exactly what Es Paradis delivers. Loosely translated as ‘Heaven on Earth’, the white interior and enormous natural gardens make it one of the most spectacular venues, and also a popular hangout for celebrities while they are on the island. With four VIP areas, three chill out bars and three dancefloors, there is plenty to keep you entertained once you are under the breathtaking pyramid roof.
