The Südpol is located between office complexes next to the Bille canal in Hammerbrook and is one of the most interesting locations in Hamburg. It represents various cultural events with a focus on electronic music and stands for alternative parties where you can celebrate based on freedom, fun and respect. The program ranges from weekly techno parties to queer and down-tempo events to punk concerts and cinema. There are two dancefloors: „Unten", a dark main room where most DJs play techno, and „Oben", on the upper floor, which is more about house and alternative electronic music, although the music policy in both rooms is quite open. In summer there is an open courtyard and plenty of space to enjoy the music in the sun (which Hamburg is very famous for). The duration of the parties varies between 9 and 48 hours.
