Welcome to RIPPLES: Maaya’s sun-kissed Thursday party series, where we celebrate the warm vibes of House, Disco, Funk, Electronic and more, soundtracked by some of our most favourite local & international artists. For our 2nd edition, we are so excited to a Chicago & Detroit house legend, as well as a rising local star: •⁠ ⁠Alton Miller: As a DJ, Producer & The Music Institute co-founder, Alton has been playing a fundamental role in House Music for over two decades. Alton’s early roots in soul & funk music led to an affinity for clubbing and the perfect storm of music, dance, and skill that is required to create it. •⁠ ⁠⁠Tommes: As a DJ, co-founder & host of A-Side (a House Music Dance Party for BIPoC, queer folks & allies), Tommes plays house with a focus on soulful, vocal-driven & classic/old-school influences.
