A well-known figure on the Catalan scene, Xavier Riembau defines himself as DJ, Art Historian, juggler and acrobat. Furthermore, Riembau –who's moniker is taken from the Argentine football legend- is above all else, truly passionate about music in all its guises, especially African rhythms, Jamaican dub and electronica with hints of psychedelia. For a number of years he has demonstrated his extensive knowledge through mixes distributed on the Internet, cult parties (Finis Africae) and master classes in which he revisits the history of music. Will see him perform one of his evocative and open minded sets.
A constantly evolving rennaissance man, Diego Armando can usually be found at the city’s strangest gigs, underground festivals and the hottest parties. In addition to his facet as a DJ (which he exercises with total freedom) for years Riembau headed one of the most interesting Catalan labels, Bankrobber. He also has his own sonic experimentation project, Wunderkammer, working alongside another illustrious figure on the Barcelona underground scene, Enrique Doza (Perro Roboto, Burning Ladillas) since 2010.
He has played in festivals like Sónar (2012 & 2017), Piknic Electronik, Faraday, Black Music Festival, SOTU (Amsterdam), and venues like Razzmatazz, Apolo, Marula, Lolita, Powder Room, La 2 de Nitsa, Rachdingue , and Bonnefooi in Brussels where he has a residence night called Santa Maradona Disco Club. He has also opened for The Streets, Ike Turner, Mdou Moctar, King Aysoba, The Ex, Fendika, Mammane Sani , Gipsy Kings , Les Filles de Illighadad or Maceo Parker.
He is a visceral DJ playing records for more than 20 years.
