Spain<\/strong><\/a>, as always, is delivering the goods. And most likely still lingering because you’re one of those who like to start the year on the dancefloor, so we’ve provided the summary right here for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Barcelona<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1st January – OUTPUT <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This is a big one, no need for explanations really. On January 1st, OUTPUT<\/a><\/strong> teams up with Loud Contact<\/a><\/strong> for a New Year’s Day party starting at 10 am in the outskirt woods<\/strong> <\/a>of Barcelona, which is pure class. Orchestrating the session is the master of minimal techno himself, Richie Hawtin<\/a><\/strong>, joined by H\u00e9ctor Oaks<\/a><\/strong>‘ dynamic sound, amongst others, guaranteeing a whole day of uncompromising techno. This is a bucket-list event for connoisseurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

31st December – Poble Espanyol<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For a different scale, the city offers its monumental New Year’s Eve gathering at Poble Espanyol. While perhaps not strictly ‘underground’ as such, the sheer scale of kicking off the year in one of Barcelona’s coolest spaces is undeniable. This is one fueled by the solid local selectors, including HAL9000<\/a><\/strong> and Alvaro Varen<\/a><\/strong> spinning techno and urban music alongside Mr Majestyk<\/a><\/strong> as well as the radio host and spinner Hanakito<\/a><\/strong> bringing her rare groove and hip hip to the mix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

31st December – INPUT Dance Club <\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

INPUT Dance Club<\/a><\/strong> is keeping it simple this New Year\u2019s; they\u2019ve brought in the essential figure, Miss Kittin<\/a><\/strong> accompanied by Alexia Glensy<\/a><\/strong> and Hitch<\/a><\/strong>. Her sets blend techno, dark house and that raw electro edge she pioneered. If you’re a serious clubber in Barcelona<\/a><\/strong> who just wants to lock into the groove and avoid the amateur hour, this is your spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

31st December – Les Enfants Brillants<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Barcelona\u2019s quest for high-fidelity sound finds its home at Les Enfants Brillants<\/a><\/strong>. For New Year\u2019s Eve, the club leans into its roots, trading the anthems for a curation of respected selectors. Including UK diggers Hamish & Toby<\/a><\/strong> with their signature genre-bending chemistry, joined by the deep grooves of Javier Carballo<\/a><\/strong>. Spook understood the assignment, bringing us the hard edge from Italian techno head Alignment<\/strong><\/a>, supported by the cosmic sequencer Pawlowski<\/a><\/strong> and many more; this one goes on until 9:30 am the next day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The theBasement<\/a><\/strong> crew really knows how to curate a good night of minimal and house, and that’s why we’re here. Taking over the Novotel<\/a><\/strong> for the occasion, this party is built on a lineup of key regional players, including names like the unique Tunisian HearThuG<\/a><\/strong>, the local music hustler Hessa<\/a><\/strong> (co-founder of Cosmos vinyl label in Madrid), Muvement<\/a><\/strong>, and Marc Strap<\/a><\/strong> confirmed. Running a full day at Veles e Vents<\/a><\/strong> in Valencia, Day One Electronic<\/a><\/strong> is a house music event that starts with breakfast at 10 am. The session carries on seamlessly until midnight, transitioning from the Open Air Terrace to the Rooftop Club. Leading the charge is Italian talent Nicola Calbi<\/a><\/strong>, backed by regional forces like Alex O<\/a><\/strong>, Jaime Soeiro<\/a><\/strong>, Rafa M<\/a><\/strong>, and many more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
