Setting the pace in the industry since 1996. Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) <\/a><\/strong>is back for another year and probably stronger than ever. At a time when electronic music is in peak form, where collectives are proliferating, business opportunities are more tempting and DJs are gaining more followers on social media. ADE remains the perfect balance between the on-trend and the underground. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between 18 and 22 October,<\/strong> everyone who has been, is or wants to be someone in electronic music will once again make the pilgrimage to the city of Amsterdam<\/a><\/strong>. Attending ADE is starting to mean even more than participating in Tomorrowland <\/strong>or Ultra<\/strong>. Its conferences are like the crystal ball that spells out the future of the industry, and its clubbing and festival nights are the place where the most promising demos are traded and the tracks that will break records are pumped out. But in the meantime, there’s still a filter to be made. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADE Pro <\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The events can overshadow the attention of most attendees, and with good reason, given the quality and quantity of line-ups scattered around the city. But the real purpose of the ADE goes back to the idea of bringing professionals together to explore what is and will be happening in the industry. It would be a shame to visit Amsterdam without paying attention to the ADE by Day <\/strong>or ADE Pro <\/strong>program and its endless possibilities materialised in masterclasses, conferences and workshops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, collectives such as HE.SHE.THEY<\/strong><\/a>, associations as shesaid.so<\/strong>, artist agencies such as Omni<\/strong>, brands such as Cercle <\/strong>and plenty more will be represented. Among the speakers, there will be a hybrid between professionals of different backgrounds and artists, both emerging and well known: Mama Snake, LP Giobbi<\/a>, Hector Oaks<\/a>, Armin van Buuren<\/a>, Darude, Gordo<\/a>, Mochakk<\/a><\/strong>… And the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond the seminars, ADE Arts & Culture<\/a><\/strong> will range from interactive theatre plays, such as Nicole Beutler<\/strong>‘s ATMEN at the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, to the interdisciplinary Gay Guerilla <\/strong>by 24classics<\/strong> at Zuiderkerk, to a film programme at venues such as Eye Filmmuseum, Melkweg Cinema, Kriterion and many more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ADE Festival<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As far as music events go, ADE is once again crowned as the titan of the industry. It’s hard to name an artist who won’t be performing on one of the days of this crucial week. Among our favourites are recently opened venues like Club Raum<\/a><\/strong>, live formats including Overmono<\/a><\/strong>, outdoor events like Into The Woods<\/strong><\/a> and clubbing giants like De School <\/strong>and Radion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the major heavyweights there will naturally be brands such as Awakenings, DGTL, Audio Obscura, Verknipt, Dirty Workz, AMF, <\/strong>Intercell<\/strong> <\/a>and the opening of Turbo<\/strong>, a new club curated by Charlotte de Witte<\/a><\/strong> herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
