But with his latest creation he has reinforced it even more, if that&#8217;s even possible. The artist has released a new <strong>augmented reality app<\/strong> to complement his latest EP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This peculiar proposal is called <strong>YXBoZXh0d2lu<\/strong>, which translates as &#8220;aphextwin&#8221; when decoded using Base64 binary to text encoding. Yes, we know this sounds as complicated to you as it does to us. But it is a clear reflection that creativity, around music and technology, is infinite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/yxbozxh0d2lu\/id6449086797\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">app <\/a><\/strong>is free and offers an &#8220;alternative world&#8221; of interactive augmented reality that is activated by scanning the artwork of Aphex Twin&#8217;s album &#8216;<em>Blackbox Life Recorder 21f \/ in a room7 F760<\/em>&#8216;  with your smartphone. The project has been developed by Japanese studio <strong>KALKUL <\/strong>with the help of visual artist <strong>Weirdcore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe style=\"border-radius:12px\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/0yp0GVa92trHmWZuEZTuL2?utm_source=generator\" width=\"100%\" height=\"152\" frameBorder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<p>The illustrations and visual effects range from cubes paired to the rhythm of the music, to mini cities within them. Endless possibilities at your fingertips. <strong>Aphex Twin<\/strong> presented YXBoZXh0d2lu for the first time at events such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/xceed.me\/blog\/en\/sonar-2023-barcelona\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">S\u00f3nar Festival<\/a><\/strong>, where visitors were able to enter 3-meter cubic sculptures to discover details of the album.
