Part of our hearts went out when the iconic Printworks London <\/strong><\/a>announced its shutdown<\/strong>, with 2023 as its last season. But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the crew behind the English clubbing Mecca have announced the birth of Drumsheds<\/strong>. A new venue for up to 15,000 people <\/strong>that is set to open its doors in September<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside a former IKEA warehouse<\/strong>, the space has ditched the oddly named furniture and will turn into a space of worship for culture and its various forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drumsheds is a unique space for all. Reimagined from unused warehouses, it breaks free from the constraints of traditional spaces with a blank canvas design and state-of-the-art infrastructure<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The creators of this milestone are Broadwick Live<\/strong> (the team behind Printworks, Beams<\/strong> and Field Day<\/strong>). Entertainment experts who are now delivering a fresh and big new vision for the industry. Drumsheds will be 608,000 sqm<\/strong> and, it seems, will retain its warehouse and industrial look without much tinkering. A hybrid, multi-level, multi-room titan. As for Printworks itself, Broadwick is rumoured to be planning to reopen from 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A place without walls, where nothing is fixed. Festivals, large-scale entertainment, private parties, fashion, exhibitions, filming, photography, product launches, and brand activations: something for every community and niche. Like never before<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n\t\n\t\tFIRST CONFIRMED ACTS OF THE NEW CLUB<\/span>\n\t<\/span>\n<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The grand opening of Drumsheds <\/strong>will take place on Saturday 7th October <\/strong>with La Discoth\u00e9que<\/strong>. Genres such as disco will kick off with artists such as Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King, Jocelyn Brown, Kenny Dope<\/a> <\/strong>and Derrick Carter<\/a><\/strong>. A week later, the duo Gorgon City <\/a><\/strong>will captain the night along with others such as Armand Van Helden<\/a><\/strong>. October will end with the renowned Spanish brand elrow <\/strong>in its spookiest version with Horroween<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a country with a drum & bass tradition, it was essential to have the top stars of the genre, such as Andy C<\/strong>, who will be headlining on 11 November. After the success in Ibiza, Jamie Jones<\/a> <\/strong>arrives on the <\/strong>18th with Paradise <\/strong>followed by Camelphat <\/a><\/strong>on the <\/strong>25th November. The Hydra<\/strong>‘s Printworks success will continue its legacy in December on the 8th. Of course, Belgium’s acclaimed <\/strong>Charlotte de Witte<\/strong> i<\/a>s not to be missed with her KNTXT <\/strong>brand on the 9th <\/strong>and her acid vision of techno.
