Lis Sarroca<\/a> is a young producer and DJ born in Mexico and based in Barcelona<\/a>. From the Spanish city, she works hard to take her place in the underground music scene, not only in the city, where she has already appeared in some of the most important events of its scene but also in the whole country. Lis Sarroca’s music has already seen the light on labels such as Hot Haus Recs, Sinnmusik and Mobilee, owned by Germany’s Anja Schneider. The By My Side EP, made up of three original tracks by Lis Sarroca, marks the third release of the Mexican artist on House Cookin Records<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I started to work in this release around November last year and it took me until February to finish it. I want to present my sound, as it has been evolving through time. Now I come with a more solid and defined character, staying truly on the elements I take with me: house, deep, classic and groove.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lis Sarroca explains that each of the three tracks in the EP has been produced through different processes and collaborations with other artists and producers. On \u201cNo Longer\u201d, the second track, we enjoyed \u201ca beautiful collaboration with a pianist\u201d, while on the third, \u201cTobacco\u201d, most of the track was made from sampling.<\/p>\n

But we focus on \u201cBy My Side\u201d, a track that had Logic<\/a> as the main daw for most of its internal components. The creative part was made with Roland Cloud Software<\/a> and Stylus and sounds like the warm pads and key were created with ES M and Alchemy.<\/p>\n
