Lo llevan en su ADN… y eso nos confundi\u00f3 a todos. Si la legendaria banda de rock brit\u00e1nico Radiohead<\/a> ha llegado donde ha llegado es, indiscutiblemente, por la soberana calidad de su m\u00fasica. Pero, por fortuna o por desgracia, eso no lo es todo en los tiempos que corren. El marketing est\u00e1 siempre presente. Y siempre tiene algo que decir.<\/p>\n

Eso nunca fue un problema para el grupo liderado por Thom Yorke. M\u00e1s bien al contrario: Radiohead es uno de los agentes musicales que mayor partido le han sacado al marketing digital en la era de internet.<\/p>\n

En 2016, el esperad\u00edsimo \u00e1lbum A Moon Shaped Pool<\/em><\/a> no vio al luz siguiendo un m\u00e9todo al uso. Ni mucho menos. Radiohead limpi\u00f3 repentinamente todas sus redes sociales. Los perfiles quedaron vac\u00edos. Y, de la noche a la ma\u00f1ana, las 11 pistas del disco aparecieron \u00edntegras en su web y en algunas plataformas de streaming. Toda la industria musical habl\u00f3 de Radiohead en aquel momento. \u00bfInversi\u00f3n en marketing? Cero.<\/p>\n

Rebobinemos a\u00fan m\u00e1s. A\u00f1o 2007. Su \u00e1lbum In Rainbows <\/em><\/a>fue el primer disco de la historia sin precio fijo. Bajo el concepto \u201cpaga lo que quieras\u201d, sumamente rompedor en aquellos tiempos, Radiohead fueron pioneros en la democratizaci\u00f3n de la m\u00fasica y en la adaptaci\u00f3n a la era 2.0, en la que la compra de m\u00fasica como tal empezaba a dar paso a las suscripciones por escucha online.<\/p>\n

Un robo virtual hace que Radiohead publique material in\u00e9dito en su web<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La \u00faltima gran acci\u00f3n de la banda, sin embargo, no ha sido fruto del marketing. Radiohead ha modificado radicalmente su portal web y lo ha convertido en un escaparate gigantesco. En \u00e9l, podemos encontrar infinidad de materiales in\u00e9ditos. Todos, disponibles de forma totalmente gratuita para todos los usuarios.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 Jonny Greenwood -miembro del grupo- en sus redes, Thom Yorke fue hackeado y robado virtualmente. Los hackers trataron de chantajear al l\u00edder de Radiohead: ped\u00edan 150.000 d\u00f3lares por no publicar el material. Ya conocemos la reacci\u00f3n de la banda de Abingdon.<\/p>\n

Radiohead nos ha abierto las puertas de la m\u00e1quina del tiempo: sus conciertos en Glastonbury 2003 o Pinkpop 1996, merchandising vario (dominan las camisetas), todos sus discos y demos y, en definitiva, cualquier material de archivo que Radiohead haya conservado durante estos 35 a\u00f1os de trayectoria est\u00e1n disponibles de forma totalmente gratuita en su portal.<\/p>\n
