Decibel Easter / Decibel Open Air
Florence remains the beating heart of the season, landing with the annual event that works as the perfect precursor before summer drops in heavy. Decibel Easter has turned from being just a fun weekend to a solid seismic event, with this year the legendary Carl Cox taking over for a massive 3-hour Sunday set. While Saturday and Monday belong to the “Resonance” hard-techno crowd, featuring I Hate Models, Fantasm, and Luca Agnelli.

Apulian Art Fest
Heading down south, Puglia gets an early start this year with the Apulian Art Fest in Trani. This isn’t your standard dark-room rave; this new festival in town thrives on the boutique ends as a celebration of contemporary Italian sound and style. Featured by a live set from Clara, the genre-defying Boss Doms and more, expect an event that brings fresh energy to the Adriatic coast with modern electronic, house and indie pop just as spring begins to bloom.

Bright Festival
For those who want their music with a bit more of a futuristic taste, Bright Festival is your shout. Landing back in Florence, the Stazione Leopolda transforms its grand structure into a glowing digital ecosystem, blending light art with the best of melodic techno. This year features the cinematic mood of Undercatt, then the darker, more experimental edges from Weg, alongside many more, creating a soundtrack that feels as sci-fi as the immersive installations surrounding the dancefloor.

Invincible Fest
Rome’s Eur Social Park gets a serious upgrade this May. Invincible Fest has moved away from the mainstream ropes to bring some of the most respected names in electronica and punk to the capital. Seeing Röyksopp under the Roman stars, supported by the desert-house grooves of Kerala Dust, not to mention the post punk jazz and experimental rock from Maruja, amongst others, is officially our 2026 “must-do.”

Gemini Festival
Bologna is Italy’s alternative soul, and if you think bolognese is its crown jewel; you stand corrected, it’s their Gemini Festival. Held at the industrial-cool DumBO, the 2026 lineup is pure alt-rock, electronic and post-punk class, bringing something of an artistic contamination to the booths. From the Anatolian rock of Altın Gün to a special DJ set from IDLES, this is for the festival-goer who hates being put in a box.

Dancity Festival
While others chase the hype, Dancity cultivates its own cult following. Marking nearly two decades in Umbria, the festival returns to Foligno for a weekend in which the historic space Auditorium San Domenico becomes a portal for exploratory live sets, AV performances, and tremendous club energy. Rather than a mass rave, it’s a bit more of a detail-obsessed gathering for listeners who care about adventurous electronic music and sonic context. With the Umbrian natural wines and local culinary added to the menu, no more insisting is needed.

Cinzella Festival
If you want to know where the cool kids are hanging out this July, point your GPS toward Grottaglie. Hidden away in the heel of Italy’s boot, Cinzella Festival is the ultimate intersection of grit and glamour, staged in the breathtaking landscape of the Cave di Fantiano; an ancient tuff quarry turned natural amphitheatre.
Under the artistic direction of Italian actor Michele Riondino, the festival carries the weight of acclaimed alternative rock and post-punk bands as well as the presence of cinematic art. Although Niccolò Fabi is the only current name announced on the lineup, keep your ears piqued for more exciting drops!

No Art Festival
Imagine dancing to the finest minimal house while surrounded by 2,000-year-old Roman ruins. Not bad, right? Well, No Art is bringing their legendary vibes back to the Parco Archeologico di Egnazia in Puglia. Transumare Fest
If your idea of a perfect August involves the Adriatic Sea and an avant-garde soundtrack, look no further.
