The countdown has begun for the 20th anniversary of the world’s most renowned electronic music festival, set to take place over the last two weekends of July
No matter how many years pass, there are events in the music world that are known in advance to be unbeatable. The prime example is in the city of Boom, Belgium, which will once again be the home of Tomorrowland 2024 for its twentieth year.
The mega-festival will span, as usual, across two weekends, from July 19th to 21st and from July 26th to 28th. Six days during which the grounds of De Schorre Park will host thousands of music pilgrims from all over the world, drawn in by the impressive lineup for this 20th-anniversary celebration.
‘Life’ is the theme for this edition, which goes beyond celebrating the big names that have built Tomorrowland’s reputation; it also reflects the current music scene. A quick look at its takeovers and stage hosts reveals that hard, (drum and) bass, and techno are at the forefront, represented by brands like Exhale, Teletech, Rampage, Tweekamania, or Footworxx. This is not to overlook the significance of Afterlife, located at the Freedom Stage, or the presence of afrohouse with Keinemusik at the Main Stage and the Crystal Garden.
While notable names like Martin Garrix and Charlotte de Witte may be missed in the lineup, the exclusivity of the rest takes control with b2b sets such as Rezz and Deadmau5, Solomun and Four Tet, or melodic magicians Bonobo and Dixon. Beyond that, some trendy acts in techno and its subgenres couldn’t be absent, including Marlon Hoffstadt, DJ Heartstring, or the Polish sensation VTSS.
Presale tickets are a thing of the past, but on February 3rd at 5:00 PM CET, the general ticket sale opens, so get ready to open as many browser windows as possible. And this is just a glimpse! For the full lineup of Tomorrowland 2024 by days, check out their official website.
