The live performance by Rodriguez Jr. arrives in Valencia to complete the line-up of the Fayer LIVE Edition

April 18, 2018

Fayer focuses on live acts. The event led by the prestigious Valencian producer Edu Imbernon wanted in this month of April to offer a product with much more elaborate performances. Last week, we talked at Xceed about ‘Human’, the new audiovisual album project that Henry Saiz & Band have recorded around the six continents of the planet and that, a few days ago, has been published on Henry’s own label, Natura Sonoris. The entire band will be this Saturday, April 21at the Akuarela Playa in Valencia presenting it. It promises to be one of the greatest performances of the season at an international level (another presentation of the album is already scheduled at Sónar Festival).

In parallel, one of the best lives of the moment joins the line-up. Rodriguez Jr. grew up in the 90s in the south of France, where he was trained in playing the piano while escaping to electronic parties in his free time. From such combination, we could not get anything else but the equation that Olivier Mateu presents to us. The sound product of Rodriguez Jr. moves between the more deliberate and contemplative electronica and the deep techno with a strong melodic component, reserving small spaces to the influences from pop.

‘Baobab’ is his last big result. Released in June 2017 on the German Anja Schneider‘s Mobilee label, the album presents 10 tracks in which Rodriguez Jr. demonstrates his stylistic range, navigating between ambient and techno and passing through intermediate genres such as deep house and melodic house. Probably, many of those 10 tracks will sound this Saturday night in Akuarela. The lives of Rodriguez Jr. and Henry Saiz & Band lead a line-up completed by Fayer’s mentor, Edu Imbernon, and local artists such as Mike Gannu, Almost Human and Juanjo Tur, among others.
