The 2019 season has ended in Ibiza and now, both on the island and in the rest of the world, it’s time for analysis, numbers and lists. It’s time to see what worked better, what worked worse and what just didn’t work. There were parties that failed (like Vagabundos), others that continued to succeed (like Afterlife, elrow, ANTS or Pyramid), others that debuted with good sensations (like Transmoderna) and others that, despite their long history, continue to be a reference (like Cocoon or Circoloco).

Also, at a musical level, it’s time to analyze and understand which styles, productions and sounds are those that set the trend, best fit among the audience and more masses move. One more year, house and tech sounds are on the top. Groove is still the common denominator among the greatest hits.

These are, ranked from first to tenth, the 10 most searched tracks on Shazam during the 2019 season in Ibiza:

It is surprising that some of these tracks were released in the 2018 season or, as in the case of “Cola”, in June 2017. It seems that a very large part of the audience that fills Ibiza’s macroclubs still doesn’t know Fisher’s “Losing It” either.

Calvin Harris continues to be the EDM artist who achieves the greatest presence in nightclubs. South Korean Peggy Gou repeats with “Starry Night” the success she achieved with “It Makes You Forget”. And Marie Davidson and Soulwax confirm that their hit “Work It” has crossed any kind of border and raised passions in all kinds of parties. Ibiza was no exception.
