The Catalan festival will open the doors of the Fira Montjuïc venue for two days and two nights, featuring artists of the caliber of Overmono, Mura Masa, Hudson Mohawke, and James Holden, among others

It seems that the cold hasn’t quite reached Barcelona, even as we flip the page to November on our calendars. And though we’re not sure if it’s time to dust off our sweatshirts, what we can guarantee is that the temperature will rise once more on November 10th and 11th for those privileged enough to attend the MIRA Festival. In an event brimming with audiovisual shows, musical performances, installations, conferences, and more, here’s a glimpse of what the 12th edition has in store.

When it comes to music, MIRA always delivers. Riding the waves of experimental sounds and underground rhythms breaking the barriers of genres, the festival’s lineup presents a really eclectic list of artists once again. Over the course of two days and nights, you’ll be able to enjoy up to 25 DJ sets and live performances from prominent names like Overmono, Mura Masa, Hudson Mohawke B2B Nikki Nair, Evian Christ, James Holden and the latest addition to the lineup, Lanark Artefax, who will debut his new Live A/V show in Spain.

For those who’re already familiar with the festival, you know it stimulates not only your auditory senses but also your visual ones. MIRA has rightfully become a hub for digital arts in Barcelona, and in 2023, it aims to uphold its title with the announcement of new installations created by the 8-bit music pioneer and researcher Goto80, along with collaborator Jacob Remin. This year also showcases the artistic vision of Sabrina Ratté and the design prowess of Onionlab, adding to the roster of confirmed installations and 360-degree projections by Ouchhh, Playmodes, Julius Horsthuis, Quiet Ensemble, 11v151131_M06, media.tribe, Jordi Massó, Pedro Torres, and Weidi Zhang.
