April sweet sleep… Not for design! Year after year, Milan’s Salone del Mobile, also known as Design Week, opens the doors of the city to an increasing number of artists, enthusiasts or simply curious people from who come from all over the world to discover what’s new in terms of design. The entire city, already known as Italian the capital fashion, becomes the hub of exhibitions, art shows, performances and so on. An entire week dedicated to design, innovation and avant-garde.
Art runs fast, and so does nightlife, which invades the city with countless events. For this design weekend we would have liked to help you in deciding what to do by gathering all the events which in our opinion are the most interesting, but maybe seeing all these great names together, we have only complicated things.
Ellen Allien @ Magazzini Generali
Ellen Allien, the well known and respected german DJ and producer, also for her renowned label B.Pitch Control, is an icon in the electronic music world and has a decade of experience as well as a truly admirable knowledge of the industry. Maybe not everyone knows, but it is thanks to her that we can appreciate the beautiful productions of Moderat, the band composed by Apparat and Modeselktor. Her sets are known for the typical acidic sounds, which she will bring to Magazzini Generali, her lovely charisma and her dance moves to the rhythm of her techno in true Berlin style.

Maceo Plex and Walking Shadow @ Dude Club
Maceo Plex has a unique and well defined style. Known also under the pseudonyms of Maetrik and Mariel Ito, over the years he has been able to create a large following, becoming one of the most appreciated artists in the electronic music world. An incredibly talented DJ and producer and owner of the sophisticated Ellum, he will be the guest of the first event of the Design Week at the Dude Club in via Boncopagni. Walking Shadow, the club’s popular resident, will warm up the dance floor and create the right vibe.

Meute @ Circolo Magnolia
Eleven musicians from Hamburg who with their trumpets and percussions form a techno band. MEUTE have become a real phenomenon, discovered thanks to videos published on the web. It is thanks to the spectacular energy of every performance that they have made themselves known, also managing to bring electronic music in the streets, within everyone’s reach. It doesn’t happen every day to see not only young people, but also children and elders dancing and having fun to the notes of famous techno tracks. Get ready for one of the best shows of the year, Magnolia brings MEUTE to Milan!

Arpanet @ Discosizer
Not much is known about the story of Arpanet, also known as Gerald Donald. Some people suspect that he is involved in Drexciya’s project, but he doesn’t say much about himself, especially about his professional life, he prefers to let the music speak and explain everything there is to know. The same goes for the Acid Castello trio, who prefers communicating through the sounds of the TB303. Psycho Mind Transmission and Camilla Gligorov will complete this first appointment of Design Week with Discosizer and make via Toffetti dance.

Hunee and Paula Temple @ Dude Club
Dude Club for the Saturday of the Design Week decides to spoil its customers. Two genres and two energies for a common passion: music. In the two rooms of the club there will be two different events: in the Main Room Paula Temple and MCMXC, hard and raw techno sounds; in the Osservatorio Astronomico Hunee and Abstract, sophisticated and elegant house music.

Recondite live, Agents of Time, B.Converso @ Amnesia Milano
Owner of Plangent Records and highly respected artist, he was one of the first producers of this music genre to be involved in a television production, The Young Pope. Recondite’s live show is one of the most interesting, sophisticated and innovative shows you can listen to, live and dance to during an electronic music event. Accompanying this great artist in the night of the Design Week in Amnesia Milano, the trio of Agents Of Time, of the Afterlife family, and B.Converso, Italian talents who have stepped the biggest stages of festivals and clubs around the world.

Pional @ Take it Easy (Tunnel Club)
The young Spanish DJ in the recent years has made himself known as one of the most talented and prolific producers of the Iberian Peninsula. After having stepped the stages of some of the biggest and most important clubs and festivals in the world, the Milanese organization Take It Easy brings the artist and its melodic to the renowned Tunnel Club, near Milan Central Station.

Francesco Del Garda @ Discosizer
The second appointment of the Design Week by Discosizer will see on the mix the Italian DJ Francesco Del Garda. He is known for his sophisticated way of playing and track selection. The Funktion One will play to the rhythm of his elegant techno, along with the one of the Milanese Luca Stroppa.
