Jackies, the well-known Barcelona party of house, disco, hip hop, soul & funk Music, lands for the first time in the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), the largest electronic music festival on the planet, where more than 2,500 artists and 600 speakers meet more than 1,000 events and 200 clubs, making Amsterdam, for a week, the biggest showcase of the electronic music industry. This is a highly recommended week for any electronic music lover. From October 16th to 20th, Amsterdam is dyed yellow and it’s normal to find ADE’s logo in any corner of the city. Dutch people are very proud of it, and that’s something anyone can feel in the environment.
In this 2019, the Jackies party, after making exhibitions of its brand in Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon, disembark for the first time in Amsterdam on October 19th with a very special daytime event from 6:30 pm to 11:30 pm. The party will take place in a boat with a capacity of 300 people. People, who’re going to dance to the rhythm of house, nu-disco, and funky music with a line-up composed by Louie Vega and the brand residents: Fetech Mode, Guto Fernandez, Viccenzo, Matteo Scuro and Kapi.
Louie Vega is undoubtedly a living legend of house music, having won one Grammy and having been nominated 6 times. With a career of more than 20 years, Louie Vega is a mega force in the house music industry with no signs of slowing down. He’s also recognized by the duo he created with the deejay Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez, based in Brooklyn. Masters at Work, as they were called, were responsible for critically acclaimed albums Nuyorican Soul and Masters At Work – Our Time is Coming. In 2006, he received a Grammy Award for his remix of “Superfly” by Curtis Mayfield on Rhino Records.
Then, no more than a year later, the Cirque du Soleil approached him and the house music group Blaze to compose and produce a song for a once-in-a-lifetime event. Anané Vega sang the lead role and the band Elements Of life performed the song “One Dream” for the acrobatics and art of the Cirque du Soleil during the 2007 Super Bowl Pre-Game Show, in front of more than 70,000 people at the Miami’s Dolphin Stadium. The performance was seen by 145 million viewers.
This will undoubtedly be a house music experience not to be missed.
