Music and art are two disciplines that have always gone hand in hand. Separately, they can be impressive, but when they come together, the result is sublime. And that is Beatport‘s mission behind the creation of Beatport.io, a platform dedicated to exploring the future of electronic music that already has a debut project called ‘NACHTS’.
This ‘B-side’ of Beatport emerges as a place where your favourite artists and labels can experiment with new forms of creative expression and collectible musical formats. As a first taste, Beatport.io has unveiled ‘NACHTS’ – German for ‘nights’ – a series of limited edition portraits of the techno scene by Berlin-based photographer and bouncer Mischa Fanghaenel.
The project includes portraits of more than 175 artists from the scene such as Chris Liebing, Dixon, DVS1, Ellen Allien, Freddy K, Len Faki, Patrick Mason and Seth Troxler, among others. The collection also features a limited-time free Door Edition with music by Gerd Janson created just for the occasion. The Wardrobe and Dancefloor Editions, with exclusive music by Norman Nodge and Len Faki, are also coming shortly for a quite affordable price.
Of course, the portraits are also created from AI models, a tool that has come to the industry to stay and stretch the boundaries of the culture that moves us. This is just the beginning of a great pitch, we’re sure Beatport.io has a future vision with a lot of potential to prove. For now, check out NACHTS via their official website.
