January 10, 2017

You spent the whole 2016 digging for the best parties, new organizers, and club openings. Why? Because you’re tired of going to the same parties every weekend, you just want to try something new, something out of the ordinary. Okay, stop, no more google searches that lead nowhere, just relax and enjoy our pick of the best clubs and organizers to follow in 2017.

1- Elrow, Barcelona

Elrow is already one of the main actors of the worldwide nightlife scene. They started in Barcelona and every clubber already tasted the craziness of this place. Recently honored by Mixmag as the best club in the world, they started to expand the idea of elrow outside Barcelona, with a residency at Amnesia Ibiza during summer and some special events around UK, Belgium & Netherlands. No doubt that Elrow’s insanity is gonna flow through 2017 and conquer other countries! (watch out Elrow at Carnaby Street just above).

2- Printworks / LWE, London

Printworks is the new London-based concept from LWE, the famous organiser of Warehouse parties. All Saturdays, they’ll organise the finest day techno events, starting at 12am and ending at 10pm, in a former printing works with 2 rooms and a 5000px capacity. They already attracted some huge names such as Adam Beyer, Maya Jane Coles, Alan Fitzpatrick, Daniel Avery, Chris Liebing, Ellen Allien and many others. One month before the first event (Feb, 4th), this latest is already sold-out. Actually it’s pretty normal given the insane Lineup it has : Seth Troxler B2B Loco Dice B2B The Martinez Brothers. Definitely, the place to be of 2017.

3- Alternative Projects, Paris

Paris is a booming place where plenty of collectives and labels are trying to move the underground scene into something different. Alternative Projects is one of them. They started the project few month ago in Paris, welcoming for the first edition Laurent Garnier, Terrence Parker and Thomas Delecroix. For their second event, they invited the finest techno artists for 8 hours in a Warehouse located in Nanterre. No doubt, Alternative Projects will be one of the main actors in 2017 in Paris.

4- The Hydra, London

If we needed to name one of the main UK organizers, The Hydra will definitely be in the list. Only in 2016, those London-based organizers brought Dixon, Âme, Joseph Capriati, Jackmaster, John Talabot, Adam Beyer and many more…Moving from one place to another, the crowd is always delighted and the events are almost always sold-out. For this new year, they have already 3 dates already planned with Printworks, and an all night long with Dixon at Ministry of Sound…What a start!

5- FACT, Barcelona

FACT started 2017 in a heavy way. With residencies at BPM in Mexico, at Faust in Paris and really soon at Warung in Brazil, FACT continues its expansion through the world. 2016 was already an amazing year for the Barcelona-based crew: residency at fabric london, festival in Bogota, pool series in Lisboa, etc…We all know FACT from their Insane Sunday parties at Pacha Barcelona and their amazing pool parties during the Sonar Off week. If you’re around Barcelona, be sure that you get your ticket on Xceed.

6- Into the Valley / the Factory / the Castle, Stockholm

Into the Valley has built a reputation over the past five years for offering a uniquely magical experience. A beautiful landscape in the middle of nowhere, an amazing line-up, and an excellent sound system made this festival unique. In a time where all festivals are becoming bigger and bigger, Into the Valley take the counter point organizing events based on an intimate feeling. Into the Valley is happening in Estonia this year, but we head the festival will also be present in a factory and in a castle later this year.

7- Encore, Lyon

Since 2013, Encore has gained an established position in Lyon and can be considered as one of the main organizers of the city, bringing some huge names such as Robert Hood, Tale of Us, Hunee, Kevin Saunderson, Moodymann among many others. More recently, they started to organize events in Paris and Marseille for an average of 3 quality events per months welcoming international figures or rising local artists. Overall, they brought something new and fresh to the club culture in Lyon, awarded “Ville Nocturne 2015” (Best city for nightlife) and only for this, we really should give a focus on them in 2017.

8- Ritter Butzke, Berlin

In Berlin, the best nightlife city in Europe, there were for a long time a bipolar competition in between two giants : Berghain and Tresor. However, there are some other top rising clubs less known than their two brothers, Ritter Butzke and Watergate, but let’s talk about the first one. Ritter Butzke choose to differentiate from them promoting events with local artists and multiple music genres: when your look at the last NYE line-up, you could see the same night Format: B, Niconé, andhim and Oliver Koletzki. This club deserves a spotlight, and next time you go to Berlin, you definitely need to go around.

9- Radion, Amsterdam

Radion is a new club located in Amsterdam that opened its door in May 2015. In the Netherlands capital’s nightlife forest, Radion is offering something new : weekends full of international and local heroes, live acts, creativity and installations. A playground for everyone who likes to immerse into a raw but warm bath filled with bubbles of electronic music and art. With a 24-hour license boundaries blur between day and night. With Marcellus Pittman, Jennifer Cardini, Marvin & Guy, they started the year on a good path.

10- Fayer, Valencia

Edu Imbernon’s Fayer project is bringing techno in Valencia. In different places, with different artists, at different times, Fayer is always rhyming with quality events. Since the beginning, Fayer has welcome major names such as Fur Coat, Jamie Jones, Tiga, Seth Troxler or The Martinez Brothers and became one of the leaders of techno in Spain. This 11th of February, Fayer will welcome the great Maceo Plex! Don’t miss it and get your tickets now on Xceed.
