The "I Cedri" Agriturismo is located in Albiano, a hamlet in the Municipality of Barga, about 40 km from Lucca. It is situated in a sunny, panoramic hillside area. The estate, which covers approximately 16 hectares, consists of several fully restored rural buildings, renovated with great care. Outdoors, among the terraced fields of the countryside, are three beautiful infinity pools, offering a breathtaking view of the valley and surrounding mountains. The agritourism complex "I Cedri" revolves around the ancient villa of the Mordini family, built in 1711 on the remains of a much older structure. The first document attesting to the existence of this property is a land purchase deed signed by a certain Notary Martino from Molazzana, dated December 23, 1203. The land was referred to as “Ad Dongionem,” meaning "at the tower," which suggests the existence of an old watchtower. The current structure of the villa still retains some of this historic feature, as it includes a crenellated tower that rises above the roof of the house, offering splendid views of the Apuan Alps and the town of Barga. At "I Cedri," tradition is respected to the highest degree, ensuring guest privacy while providing all the necessary comforts for a pleasant and relaxing holiday. Words cannot fully describe the peace, tranquility, and magical serenity experienced in this place—whether strolling along ancient rows of vines, wandering among the olive trees, or resting in the shade of centuries-old trees, such as the great oaks, the enormous plane tree, and the monumental Lebanese cedars, planted in 1838 and guarding the ancient entrance to the property.
