An emblematic corner of the recent history of Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain. Can Codina was born in 1931 and, since its beginnings (also during the Spanish Civil War and Franco's dictatorship), it served as the clandestine headquarters of the FAI (Iberian Anarchist Federation). New generations of the magical District of Gracia have taken over in the direction of Can Codina, although they have kept much of its essence. The place is spacious and appetizing, and if you get hold of one of its marble tables, you will be able to taste everything, from classic tapas -such as patatas bravas or boquerones- to more sophisticated ones -such as cuttlefish croquettes with ink or escalibada with baked cheese-.
